Preview: Stoke City Vs Manchester City

The time has come for the world to know if Pep can do it on windy night at Stoke. Manchester city visit the Britannia Stadium this saturday with a brilliant 5-0 win in UCL qualifiers against Steaua Bucharest in Romania and would be full of confidence after a nervy match against Sunderland at the Etihad in the

opener. Stoke city could only manage a 1-1 draw against Middlesborough , with Xherdan Shaqiri scoring from a free kick. But

they would be hoping to re-enact what they did last time, deafeating city 2-0 with the brilliance of Marko Arnatovic.

Manchester City will be without Ilkay Gündogan, Leroy Sane and captain Vincent Kompany. Stoke could be handed a huge boost with Jack Butland possibly returning, Joe Allen could possibly be handed his first start.

Raheem Sterling has been in inspiring form since returning from a disapponting euros.He was awarded man of the match against Sunderland and had an excellent game against Bucharest with two assists and winning a penalty.

Xherdan Shaqiri had a quiet game but produced a moment of brilliance to score with a free kick and could prove handfull for the fullbacks, especilly with the new Pep formation where the fullbacks come inside to form a three man midfield in front of the two centre backs.
